On Sunday, a cycling race took place in Stawiguda, organized by GKK Stawiguda. The event brought together riders from the region and beyond, competing on a course that ran through the surrounding roads. It was not only a chance for sporting competition, but also an opportunity to promote cycling in our community.

The Municipal Cycling Club Stawiguda has joined the partnership between the Municipality of Stawiguda and the Municipality of Wallenhorst, as well as the Olsztyn District and Landkreis Osnabrück. The first joint initiative was a training camp for our riders, combining sports training with elements of integration and cultural exchange.

The U17 juniors of GKK Stawiguda are currently at a mountain training camp, preparing for the Polish Mountain Championships in Karpacz. Daily sessions on challenging climbs are designed to help them adapt to the demanding conditions they’ll face during the race.

Riders from GKK Stawiguda are taking part in the prestigious Tour de Pologne Junior, held alongside the biggest cycling race in Poland. For our young cyclists, competing in such a major event is not only about the race itself, but also a chance to gain valuable experience and go head-to-head with the best riders their age from across the country.

Our riders returned with great results from the 2025 Youth Olympics in Track Cycling, which also serves as the Polish National Championships for U17. Igor Ziehm claimed a bronze medal in the omnium, proving his versatility on the track. In the Madison event, the duo of Szymon Stokłos and Igor Ziehm took silver, showing excellent teamwork and top form.
